Cleaning your cooker

Fusion Cooker

Do you struggle to keep clean your cooker or cooktop? You own a beautiful cooker, but it can end up looking dreadful after a few meals. ELBA prides itself on your talent for cooking. Our cookers are meant to be cooked on and are easy to clean if you follow these easy instructions.

Step 1 – Remove Burners, Grids, Plates and Controls

Turn off all burners and ensure they are cool to the touch. Fill a sink with hot water and add dishwashing liquid (about one teaspoon per litre of water). Place the burners, grids, burner caps and control knobs in the solution to soak. It may be easier to find the controls and avoid scratches if you soak these in a smaller bowl instead.

Step 2 – Wipe Down the Stovetop Surface

Wipe down the cooker top surface with a sponge dipped in hot, soapy water to remove crumbs and grease. Spray burned-on food with distilled vinegar and sprinkle with baking soda. Cover the area with a wet cloth and let it work for about 15 minutes before rubbing away with a hot sponge.

Step 3 – Scrub, Rinse, and Dry the Burners and grids

Use an abrasive sponge to scrub the cast iron pan supports. Rinse with burner caps and controls in clean water and dry with a microfiber towel.

Step 4 – Reassemble the Stovetop

Once you are certain everything is dry, reassemble the cooktop by replacing the pan supports, burners, burner caps and control knobs.

Step 5 – Apply some baby oil and Shine

Once you are certain everything is dry, apply a few drops of baby oil onto a microfibre cloth and rub onto cooker top surface and cast-iron grid and burners. This creates a protective layer on your cooker. Only use a small amount.

Step 6 – Test

Once you are certain everything is back in place then re-ignite the cooker and test.
